Why did you decide to start this business?
I thought this would be good business opportunity. There was a void in the market, so we wanted to help people shop locally.
How has business been so far?
Business has been pretty good, the economy is down, but it will start coming around soon. Every business starts out the same, so business will start picking up soon.
What makes your business different?
We have good customer service. We give the customers what they need, make sure they are getting the service they deserve.
Tell us a bit about you, where are you originally from?
I was born here in Pampa, I grew up in Oklahoma, then I moved back here for high school.
What were you doing before you started Twigg's Custom Shirts?
I was a fire fighter in Lefors & Pampa, in Pampa I have been a fire fighter for 15 years. I was also a contractor, my wife helped me with that. I was also a Oil Field mechanic for 10 years.
Tell us something you want others to know about Darcy & Craig Harkcom the person, not the business person.
We have a daughter she is a Senior in High School in Miami.
What are your thoughts on shopping locally?
Everybody should shop locally first before going anywhere else. It would help Pampa stay in business.
What's one way you think Pampa could help its local businesses?
Give businesses here a chance first before ordering online or going all the way to Amarillo, cause they can probably get what you need. You will also get better customer service, because they are your neighbors.
