Thanksgiving

Only a week away from Thanksgiving!  Make room for all that food you are going to eat and wear stretchy pants.  Make sure you have everything you need for that green bean casserole, stuffing, turkey, pumpkin pie, and mashed potatoes.  You can’t have Thanksgiving without all those things and family of course.  Don’t wait till last minute to get all the items you need, cause if you wait till last minute most likely your local store will be out of it.  Wal-Mart, United, and Fiesta Foods have the necessities you need to make this Thanksgiving diner the best.  Make this Thanksgiving memorable and delicious.  Remember to be grateful and have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Trick-or-Treat?

Witches, ghosts, and ghouls are going to invade Pampa on Halloween! Get your costumes and candy ready for Halloween, October 31^st. You can dress up and be anything you want to be, from monsters, to heroes, to cartoon characters, and more so many ideas to choose from.

Decorate your yard to be the scariest house on the block. There are so many ways to decorate your yard or house, you can find do it yourself (DIY) tutorials online and buy the items you need for it at your local stores in Pampa. You always have to have a jack-o-lantern in your yard so don’t forget your pumpkins.

Make your costume unique and fun this Halloween. Don’t forget those fun costume parties, you can either buy your costume or make it yourself, buy the stuff you need in Pampa. If you don’t feel like wearing a costume just wear a Halloween shirt, some of the small stores here in town have some really cute tops.

What I find great about Halloween is the neat snacks you can make. There are so many designs you can put on cupcakes, cookies, and cake pops. You can also make some “toxic” drinks, with some creepy crawly worms in your punch, or put water in a glove and freeze it to make it look like a hand in your bowl of punch.

So for this Halloween make it just a little bit different this year, by adding more fun to it. Also stay safe when trick-or-treating. Don’t forget to go to the truck or treat that the churches do for the kids so they aren’t out running on the street. They always have some interesting decorations for their cars. Have a terrifying Halloween!

Spirit Week

This week is spirit week for Pampa, TX. Kids and teens are showing their school pride by dressing up to different themes for each day of the week. This activity encourages students to come together to improve the climate of their school. Students will be able to see their roles in the school community and will be more open to discussions with one another about name-calling and bullying. Make sure to get the clothing and decorations you need to show your pride for spirit week.

For the day of the Homecoming Game remember to get your girlfriend, boyfriend, or date a mum or garter. You can either make one or have a professional mum maker do it (yes they exist). There are a lot of people in town that make mums that are very unique and cute. Melissa Thomas makes mums and garters and if you girls want to get your nails done for school go schedule an appointment with her. So remember to order that special someone a mum or garter. Did you know Texas is the only state that does mums for homecoming? No other state does it except Texas, that’s one of the reasons this state is so unique.
