Labor Day Weekend!
Get ready for a fun Labor Day weekend here in Pampa! Head to Central Park for the annual Chautauqua celebration. Everything you need to enjoy a day in the park with your family and friends, there will be all sorts of booths. Every Labor Day Pampa people gather in Central Park for food, fun, games, music, and cultural activities. Have a nice cook out with your family and friends.
If you don’t know what Chautauqua means, let me educate you with a little history lesson. “Chautauqua” is an Iroquois word with a few meanings— “a bag tied in the middle” or “two moccasins tied together,” and describes the shape of Chautauqua Lake, located in southwest New York. This area was the setting for the first educational assembly (Chautauqua Institution) and so provided the named to the movement.
Today, Chautauqua is experiencing a renaissance. People are discovering that lifelong learning is one of the keys to living a happy, fulfilling life. Throughout North America existing Chautauqua’s are thriving and ones from the past are being resurrected.
It’s great to have something to celebrate with the whole community and country. Grab a blanket or some chairs, there will be booths with food & drinks, clothing, jewelry, and all sorts of stuff. Most of the stuff they sell are things you can’t find anywhere else. So don’t miss out on the annual Chautauqua celebration down at Central Park. Have a safe and fun Labor Day everyone!
Fall is Coming!
I bet most of you are tired of the summer weather. Always sweaty, high electric bills, and the sun beating down on you. Well pack away your summer clothes and get out your sweater weather clothing ready, because fall is almost here. Time to change your house decorations and style for fall of 2016.
Girls you know you are dying to wear your boots you bought a last fall, that you never wore. Have all your cute scarves and jackets out, to mix match the perfect style you love. If you need new clothes for the fall weather, check out all the stores here in Pampa. They all are the styles and clothes you need to have that hot fall look. If you want to have a nice comfy top for when you sit on the couch and binge watch your favorite TV episode on Netflix, go to Twiggs, the t-shirts are cute and soft.
Decorate your home with the cute fall decorations that your local stores carry. I know the Cottage Collection has some really neat stuff for your home and for you to wear. Need new furniture I know Johnson Home Furnishing has some nice furniture for you to upgrade to. All the little stores in town have the most beautiful stuff you won’t find in any other major corporate store. You can find some nice stuff there to, but wouldn’t it be nice to have something a lot of people don’t have.
Time for a new hair style for fall, at Simply Devine Hair Salon they can hook you up with latest hair styles. Also if you’re wanting to do your nails with a cute fall design or color, go to Down Town Nails, she can give you the nails you want to make your hand look cute.
Now, since you don’t have to worry about having a beach body for the summer, go grab your sweater, a blanket, and some hot chocolate. It’s time to get ready for fall. October will be here soon to, so that means Halloween decorations and costumes. November is almost here to! So much more stuff to wear for fall and so much more stuff to decorate with to. Even though it’s been raining these past few days, enjoy what little bit of summer we have left.
