Before I owned Downtown Nails I was doing nails at another salon.
What are your thoughts on shopping locally?
I always try to shop locally. I think it is important to.

Why did you decide to start this business?
I didn't start this business, I bought it from Dolores Spurrier a couple of years ago. About a decade ago I started getting interest in doing something like this. There is always something new and it just peeks my interest in antique items. I've always wanted to have a business like this.
How has business been so far?
Business has been really good for me. The economy is down so sales have been down lately, but I have good regular customers. So i'm not going anywhere any time soon.
What makes your business different?
We have a little bit of everything. Vendors bring unique items, there is always something new.

I have been here my whole life.
What were you doing before you owned The Cottage Collection?
Before I owned The Cottage Collection I was selling vintage items from home. I also worked at The Antique Store a long time ago.
Tell us something you want others to know about Kevin Monds the person, not Kevin Monds the business man.
When I am not here working, I like to sing. I don't sing anywhere, but I am available if anyone wants me to! Way back when I sang professionally.
What are your thoughts on shopping locally?
I am 100% in favor on shopping locally! Keeping money in town instead of spending money somewhere else will be better for businesses. It will also help grow more businesses, which is very important.
What's one way you think Pampa could help its local businesses?
Shopping locally of course and telling people what shops are here in town. Not everyone knows about all these businesses here in town, I have been here forever and haven't even here of half the businesses here.

PROJECT KISS
Paying it forward in Pampa wanted to collect school supplies for families who aren’t able to afford any for their kids. So Garcia’s Auto Detailing and Pampa Service Center teamed up with Paying it forward in Pampa to create Project KISS, which stands for Kids In need of School Supplies. Rivas Express Rental & Balloons, Rent A Center, Sweet Flamingo Bakery, and Finley's Fountain are helping by giving away prizes. Every business helping support this project want to help support the community by giving back to them in times of need.
Starting now through August 20th they will be collecting supplies, so please drop off all of your donations at Garcia’s Auto Detailing on 1015 S. Price Rd in Pampa, TX. Also for every $5 worth of school supplies that you donate, you will receive one entry into a drawing for a chance to win prizes given away from local businesses here in Pampa. They are planning on getting more and wonderful prizes from different businesses.

Why did you decide to start this business?
I have always wanted to own my own restaurant here in Pampa. Before I was the owner I worked here for five years, when the lady before me owned it she asked if I wanted to buy it from her and I did.
How has business been so far?
Mostly on Mondays through Thursday it is really slow, but on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday it picks up and becomes really busy. When I first started running it business was good in the beginning.
What makes your business different?
My Restaurant is different from any other Mexican themed restaurant because I serve American & Mexican food.
Tell us a bit about you, where are you originally from?
I am originally from Zacatecas Mexico.
What were you doing before you owned & ran La Herradura?
Before I started running La Herradura, I worked here for five years & before I worked at the restaurant I cleaned houses here in Pampa.
Tell us something you want others to know about Adriana Guerrero the person, not Adriana Guerrero the business woman.
I have three wonderful children, they are all in school, my youngest daughter just started.
What are your thoughts on shopping locally?
My thoughts on shopping locally is people should by everything in town, instead of wasting gas going all the way out of town to get what you need. You can find almost everything you need here.
What's one way you think Pampa could help its local businesses?
People could help Pampa businesses by shopping in town helping everyone stay in business.
